Vidula is a litigator who assists clients in complex commercial disputes, appeals, eminent domain claims and bankruptcy matters.  In a previous life, she also practiced environmental litigation, assisting clients with evaluating and mitigating compliance risks under federal, state and local environmental laws, including CERCLA and UMTRCA.  She has represented clients at both the trial court and appellate level.

Before joining Coppersmith Brockelman, Vidula clerked for the former Chief Judge of the Arizona Court of Appeals and practiced at a large national law firm.

Representative Matters

  • Lead attorney on pro bono asylum case that garnered both local and national attention. Directed client and expert interviews, prepped experts, drafted brief and memoranda and conducted hearing in Immigration Court, leading to a successful outcome for client.   • Counsel for amicus curiae Gila Valley Irrigation and Franklin Irrigation Districts in water allocation, arguing that both procedural and substantive errors at District Court preclude Ninth Circuit jurisdiction. USA, et al. v. Gila Valley Irrigation District, et al., No. 14-16942.
  • Counsel for defense contractor in mediation with United States that resulted in favorable $40 million settlement.
  • Counsel for mining client in regulatory matter, providing ongoing advice on compliance with federal and state statutes and administrative rules regarding proper decommissioning of mine and containment of radioactive material.
  • Counsel for debtor in settlement negotiations with creditor regarding preference payments.
