Nathan Kunz is a commercial litigator who has secured multiple high-stakes settlements and reversals for Fortune 500 clients and other companies. His extensive litigation experience encompasses contracts, business divorces, noncompetition, developer guaranty defense, defamation claims, and adversary actions in bankruptcy court.

A member of the civil and criminal litigation-focused Horace Rumpole American Inn of Court who is also recognized by Southwest Super Lawyers in Commercial Litigation, Nathan represents clients in every step of a dispute including pre-litigation analysis, motion practice, discovery, document review, settlement negotiations, and hearings.

Prior to joining Coppersmith Brockelman, Nathan honed his litigation skills at a National Am Law 100 firm as well as a boutique commercial litigation firm.

Representative Matters

  • On summary judgment, won action seeking declaratory judgment of contractual rights (affirmed by Arizona Court of Appeals), secured multi-million-dollar attorneys’ fee award, and defeated defendants’ counterclaim for more than $200 million in damages
  • On summary judgment, defeated claims for breach of noncompetition provision and secured attorneys’ fee award
  • Achieved highly favorable settlement through aggressive motion practice and discovery in multi-million-dollar limited liability company member dispute
