As a testament to the firm’s unwavering commitment to creating and maintaining an enviable work environment, Coppersmith Brockelman was honored as the winner of the Phoenix Business Journal’s 2023 Best Places to Work Micro Category, which recognizes companies with 10-24 employees. The firm edged out all other nominees in their category, achieving a final score of 98.58 out of 100, earning them the top spot.

More than 300 companies submitted nominations across six categories based on company size ranging from micro to extra-large for the prestigious award program. That list was whittled down to the top 100 finalists following a rigorous employee survey that determined final scores.

Evaluated across a host of categories from benefits offerings to overall satisfaction, all of Coppersmith Brockelman’s team members who participated scored as highly engaged, indicating they intend to stay with the company long-term and are motivated to contribute high discretionary effort. When asked to describe the firm’s environment, the top word used was “friendly.” Not surprisingly, the survey also revealed that the firm’s leadership unanimously agreed that their people were their most important resource.

Employees were also invited to provide responses to several open-ended questions. Recurring themes included how much the firm genuinely cares about and supports each employee, shows appreciation for hard work, and has created an environment where employees enjoy their colleagues and feel a strong sense of community.

The award comes on the heels of a variety of national accolades for the firm’s outstanding work, including Chambers USA, Best Law Firms, and Best Lawyers©.
